KNOWN ISSUES: HTC android 2.1 has a bug in foreground service code, which leads to unfixable stuttering / skipping in music playback.


phone state & identity permission is used to detect when a user accepts incoming call, to stop playback

sdcard access permission is used to store playlists and configuration files

internet access is for radio streaming, ads and sending crash reports

    I was excited to find out DeaDBeeF was on Android because it's the only music player I use on Linux, and I love its functionality. However, after a few minutes of using it I was disappointed with the UI and it didn't detect almost all (16GB) of my music. Word of advice: stick with the folder-view design, or at least offer it. I'm keeping it on my phone to stay updated on development, but it certai

    I downloaded this going it would play shoutcast streams like Soma.FM. However when I select the playlist it doesn't do anything. Looks like it doesn't recognize the steam :(

    Great player! that it can play many file types (wiv the plugin pack installed) ... sweet :) If i could ask for any improvements ... add .FLV files to the plugins pack, plus although there is an option to sort by filename, any ID tags "override" the filenames and tracks are still displayed/sorted by the ID tags. a true filename sort (ignoring any ID tags) would be great. thanks.

    It may have bells and whistles hidden there, but I can be bothered to search or try and find them through the ugly and cumbersome interface.
