Add this app to your lists
Have a huge collection, but no idea what's in there? Organize it on Discogs.com.

Discogs Scan is an app that allows you to quickly scan the barcodes of all the CDs and records in your collection. It can then upload that collection to your Discogs.com account.

Even if you only want to add 10 items, it will save you time.

For true speed: use the "endless" mode, available from the preferences screen. Use the back button to quit scanning in that mode.

You can pick your own barcode scanner. We suggest either Barcode Scanner for simplicity or Google Goggles if you need the flash for low-light situations. Both are freely available in the Play store.

This is not pre-installed, so you may need to download that first.

You can manually enter the barcode if, for some reason, it isn't possible to scan it.

If the barcode for a release is not found on the Discogs.com site, you can manually search for that release through an easy interface.

Note: Due to a bug in the Discogs.com API, the login procedure is a little messy and cumbersome. You may need to scroll to the right to see the login box. If you have an older device, loading the pages may be slow. The people at Discogs are aware of this fact and are fixing their mobile-friendly layout. This app will be updated as soon as it is available. This procedure needs to be done only once, so it's not a major problem.

This app is free to download and use but is ad supported.

Recently changed in this version

This release is a quick fix to support Discogs.com's changes to their API. Even search actions now require registration and login.

A major overhaul of the UI and features is planned later this year. Keep an eye on this page or subscribe to the announcement mailing list to stay up-to-date.

This release also includes two enhancements:
* Scanned items are added at the top of the list instead of the bottom
* Interfacing with the Discogs API should be a little more stable now

Great idea. User interface could be more intuitive. But as far as I know, it's the only one of its kind.

This app has a great idea that's missing from any other Discogs app- batch scanning. Cataloging my collection in discogs takes forever, and this helps a bit. The problem is, it's not easy to use, has a very bad user experience, causes my phone to reboot e

Installed. Scanned. Got "item not found" every time although the scanned code was right. Uninstalled.

My perfect vinyl collection catalogue app still is a mear pipe dream. If they could join this to discography I would be exstatic. You can scan items and add to your collection. But you can't search for an item via catalogue number , artist or title etc

Excellent app! I need to catalogue over 300 vinyl records for sale on Discogs and this app is going to save me a lot of time.
