Chord charts or PDF sheet music – thousands of pro musicians agree that Fakebook is the perfect gig companion and a real bargain at this price. Sure, you love your well-worn Real Book, dog-eared at all the right places, sharpie-corrected at all the wrong, stained with coffee and beer... But now the Fakebook app gives you all the tunes you need. In the pocket. All the time.

The Fakebook sheet music reader comes preloaded with chord progressions for more than a thousand of the classic jazz standards from The Real Book ed 1,2,3,4,5... Instantly transpose the collection for Bb, Eb or F instruments, or transpose individual chord charts to suit the soloist or singer. Add your own songs, import PDF music files, sheet music, chord charts and lyrics from other formats (e.g. iRealPro / iRealb, ChordPro or ABC notation). Include your precious original songbooks or paper-napkin fake sheets using the phone's camera, import photos or PDF music from the web. Add your own notes, marks and reminders - it is now possible to draw and annotate on all charts regardless of format. Then share your songs using mail, Facebook, Bluetooth, Dropbox and more.

An always accessible search bar, chart browser and song list editor provides instant access to all music. Great on a jam or when taking requests! You can store and edit setlists, easily drag and drop songs to reorder, add and delete to create your own songbooks. When on stage, just swipe to the next chart or use a wireless foot pedal. Thanks to the lyrics support Fakebook is ready for any gig.

Fakebook is the ultimate tool for practicing. The app includes more than 1500 Spotify and YouTube links for the pre-loaded Real Book jazz standards. Search for recordings with a single click or use the built-in metronome, which remembers and synchronizes to the tempo you choose. The unobtrusive live metronome guides you also without sound.

Needs an option for standard chord naming though (Em instead of E-), and guitar chord boxes for chordpro imports would be an instant 5 stars.

I just bought Fake Book from Google play today, it is usable but I would like to see a support for batch import. I got ton of songs in pdf files, it would be very time consuming if manual importing each song. If we can select directory which contains all pdf song files, and import all songs also guessing file name=title, it would be great.

Does not absorb fluids either. And, it's always there, as long as my phone is charged that is.

I purchased the app then had a question for the developer so I sent an email.-No response. I tried to upload pdf files. It let me do 5 before they were all blank.

Good app in general but why does the search bar stay visible even after tapping on song area? I've picked my song and ready to play live but search bar takes almost 10secs to hide itself. This makes me anxious. Please auto-hide if user taps song area, or hide quicker (2 secs).
