GoneMAD is a music player set in an ICS layout and with lots of features
GoneMAD is a handy music player with some interesting features. First time you launch the app it asks you to scan your local to set up your library. Keep in mind that this is a music player only for local music, you won't be able to play your music in the cloud.
GoneMAD it's been set in HOLO-layout (ICS), swipable top bar to access streams. From there you can access GoneMAD main features. Thus, you can search music by artist, album, genre or song title just by swiping right, navigating through tabs. You can also search by typing what you're looking for. However, from settings you can change the skin. By default it brings HOLO dark, classic silver and classic cyanogen.
Unlike others, GoneMAD brings an in-app file browser which can be useful to play your mp3 from its folder (if you don't want to scan them automatically and add it your library).
Likewise, it brings a complete equalizer with some presets. If you want to set it at your whim, do it freely. You can set balance, preamp and many other parameters. Once done you can save it as preset. Finally, you can create as many playlist as you want and customize its performance from preferences: lockscreen player, headset, scrobbler... It includes up to 6 different size widgets.
A complete and good-looking music player. Recommendable.

Bought my first android device the other day (Archos 70 IT 250 GB for use as media player). Searched for three days for an audio player which plays my local playlists flawlessly. GMMD is the App I was looking for. It just made my day!
I've obviously been looking in all the wrong places! This feature rich and extensively customisable player supports pitch bending - a feature I have not found anywhere else in Android. And when I say customisable - I have never seen so many options available to tweak before. After ten minutes going through them all I really feel like the player is my own. Five stars, dev.
Nice ui, album artist, own db... If it only didn't crash with my Android mini pc... But works ok with my sgs2
[This was a problem with the way ffmpeg transcoded my flac files to mp3. Now I'm using flac and lame and it works fine!] I'm having an issue with this player. The durations on a lot of tracks show up wrong (some 5min tracks showing as 45min, for example)
5 star rating down to 4 due to the fact that it has been crashing all the time on my LG G3 anytime I try to fast forward a track. Worked fine on my Note 2 until it died. I've tried almost every other music player I could find, but none of them have the clean look and easily accessible driving controls. Oh well, I hope it's fixed soon :( Update: FAST response from dev, and my favorite android a
