My Flex Radio

To all of our loyal listeners and supporters, the time has come for MyFlexRadio to say goodbye. It is with great sadness that we announce that, as the year draws to a close, so do our regular broadcast operations. Since 2005, it has been our station mission to always provide dance music entertainment to our listeners and to legally support and nurture artists. We have always been a fully licensed SOUND EXCHANGE, ASCAP, BMI and SESAC station and we will leave in good standing.

At great cost, we have self-supported our independent vision and consistently and honestly honored the licensing rules of internet radio's revolution. However, much like the country's current fiscal woes, internet radio has fallen victim to unfair taxation and fees targeted at the "new kid" by the aforementioned licensing agencies.. Simply put, it is extremely difficult to balance the daily operation of an internet radio station vs. the licensing and regulatory fees. Until Capital Hill can clearly define some fair ground rules for all radio genres (terrestrial, cable, satellite and internet), we are stepping back and letting the "powers that be" duke it out.

We have met some amazing friends over the years, worked with gifted artists and lent a hand to the community whenever we could. We sincerely that all of our supporters and staff and listeners. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
