Pandora® internet radio

Pandora is a radio web service that has been around on PC's for years with noticeable success and now has landed in Android with same expectations.

And it seems they are on the right track. Pandora for Android is a free music phone service that allows you to listen to you favorite artists in streaming, create your own “station” based on the genre of music you like and access it from any device. It works this way: you put in the search bar the name of a song and Pandora, by its matching engine, will find new music based on what you already like. Thus, you will discover new bands each time thanks to Pandora Radio. Although it is probably the main strength of this app, another interesting feature is that you may create and account and keep all your music preferences in it, that's it, you may access to it from any device. Moreover, Pandora launches you into the station you were last listening to just by one touch which makes it easier.

However some things could be improved: there is no chance to add artists to a station, there is only available info about the artist and the song, but not album info and, regarding other similar services, Pandora has a more limited library. That last thing it is especially annoying when you listen to repeated songs so often. But anyway, that is being improved as the amount of users its increasing.

Pandora Radio for Android has been developed by Pandora, a company settled in 2000 which forms part of Music Genome Project. Its radio web service Pandora Radio has reached a considerable success, especially in the US. Now it has got into the mobile phone market by launching Pandora Radio for Android, iOS and RIM (Blackberry). And its success is still spreading.

Besides some limitations, Pandora Radio for Android is probably one of the most complete radio apps regarding ease to use and interface and it definitely is a must have.
