Version 0.3 and up include an example podcast feed from the BBC. If you have suggestions for podcasts in languages other than English (to include in future localised versions of Podcatcher), feel free to email me!
Key features:
- Simple UI, all current casts are shown on the opening screen
- Support for RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds
- OPML import/export
- Downloaded casts are added to the 'Podcatcher' playlist for playing in other apps
Explanation for required permissions:
INTERNET - used to download feeds and cast
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - used to respect preferences for downloading casts using mobile data
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - casts are written to the SD card for offline listening
READ_PHONE_STATE - cast playback is paused when the phone rings

But don't get me wrong. I love the app. I just wish I could control it with the Bluetooth headset (LG HBS700). Another feature I think would be nice is the ability to specify playback order. Perhaps as a quick list which the user can build within th

The UI is really unresponsive and it's lacking a lot of settings to help me manage subscriptions and downloads.
