Shadjam Lite - Carnatic Kit

Shadjam is a Carnatic (Indian classical) music application. It provides information about Ragas, Talas, popular Composers in Carnatic music. It also includes Carnatic lessons with different playback options for learners. The idea behind this application is to make all the basic tools and information a Carnatic music lover would need available in one place.

- Search Ragas by name or by Swaras
- Information about Ragas
- Playback of Moorchana / scale (Aarohana & Avarohana) for ragas
- Pitch / Sruti adjustment
- Gati / Tempo adjustment
- Option to loop playback (convenient for practicing the scale of a raga)
- Brief biography of well-known Carnatic composers (Vaggeyakara)
- Information about 35 Talas per 'Suladi Sapta Tala' scheme. Talas can be looked up by Tala name and Tala Jaati
- Carnatic lessons (Sarali, Janta & Datu Swaras, Alankarams, Geetams, Swarajatis and other non-carnatic songs with Swaras)
- Basic Lessons can be played in any of the 72 Melakarta ragas, with 5 speed variations and 128 instruments/tones.
- Glossary with information about the key terms of Carnatic Music (Sangeetam, Ragam, Talam, Sruti, etc.)
- Lite version is ad-supported. Hence, access_network_state & internet permissions are required. Full version is free of ads and no special permissions are required.
