Control Spotify on your Windows computer with Spotimote ! (no MAC support)
Spotimote turns your phone in a remote control for Spotify. With it, you can control Spotify from anywhere in the house.
It's ideal for parties, lazy days or if you have a media center tucked away in a closet.

The playlists access is restricted to Spotify premium users due to the Spotify policy. However, Spotimote is able to extract playlists and put them in the favorites automatically if you are an unlimited or free user.

Spotimote communicates with the Spotimote server component over Wifi. The connection is automatic, you don't have to specify an address or anything.
After the installation of the Spotimote server component, when you launch it for the first time, you may be prompted by the Windows Firewall. You have to authorize the server component to access the network or it won't be able to communicate with your android device.
About the permissions, the "READ PHONE STATUS AND IDENTITY" permission is required to let spotimote automatically pause the music when an incoming call is received on the phone.

This looked just what I need - even states you can manage your own personal music, but it fails to list any of my local tracks on the server. On top of this, during the two minutes I was browsing my playlists to check for local tracks, it already started

This app just works as it should. I was going to rate it 4 because it looks kind of ugly. But who cares! It freaking works.
