This isn't an app but an appwidget, so you'll need to add it to your homescreen to get started. However, you haven't ever seen a widget such simple regarding scenery and such complete regarding features.
First off, it allows you to choose two widget sizes (4x1 and 4x2). Once selected, first time you place them on your home screen you'll have to set it. If you're already a Google Reader user it will be a few taps, no worries. This app has been optimized to be used with Google Reader. It supports other services, however, to use the widgets efficiently, developers strongly recommend to use them with GReader.
Thus, add your GReader account (it supports as many as you have). For instance you can set two widgets, one for your work account subscriptions and the other for your personal account. You can import the full reading list or by labels. From preferences you can set the widget and its content at your whim. For instance, you can choose widget theme and layout, text size, show or hide background, items per page and many more. Likewise you can set to show/hide per-download images, thumnais, check download images only when connected to WiFi, filter by age or on pop-up, autoscroll and many more.
Its by-default transparency background, highlights and scrollable will make it stay in your homescreen. It is on mine. Highly recommendable.
