Newsy is a revolutionary way to broadcast video news

Newsy is a new way to broadcast news. In fact, a way adapted to the video streaming era. The guys at Newsy.com do a great job curating news from difference sources and editing them into 1-2 minutes videos that highlight all the relevant info related to the topic. In addition, these videos are accessible from multiple channels: website, Youtube, Roku and, of course, mobile platforms, which allows you to keep up-to-date with the topics you care about.

Newsy is an excellent an innovative service that makes the most of current technology to fulfilling a basic user need: keeping in the know. It provides curated pills of information in 2-min length videos with its transcriptions below (which can also be a good way to improve your English skills).

Newsy's home highlights "most recent stories" but you can browse through its different categories: technology, business, entertainment, politics, sports... You can also search by keyword. In addition, you can create a daily playlist of video news you want to watch and make any of them available offline.

Of course, any article/video can be shared using any of the apps installed on our device.

Despite its originality and cross-platform nature, there's still room for the mobile version to improve in regards of design and performance. It doesn't run as smooth as it should and its interface doesn't look and feel as intuitive and modern as other news apps.

Regardless, Newsy lays out an innovative, handy and comfortable way to stay in the loop. Isn't that what we all News-junkies like most?

This app used to be a lot better. There are so many bugs now. There's an issue with it every time I use it.

I love the analysis on other news sources. Newsy is professionally done and the stories are short and to the point. Its like a twitter for the news almost but with well made lengthy videos that actually inform the user. I would like to see Chromecast functionality added as well as uninterrupted video streaming for Chromecast!

While it might not be top-of-the-line the reporters are engaging and the topics are usually interesting. The transcripts are awesome, even though they sometimes have a difference in wording. The video element makes it all the more engaging.
