The Guardian is an Android app that enables users to read all the information from guardian.co.uk directly in their devices. Besides reading, the news you can also watch videos, listen to podcasts and browse through the picture galleries.
You can navigate through the sections, topics and contributors, choosing a maximum of eight to appear on your the main screen (e.g Top Stories, Multimedia, Sport, Culture, etc). It's also possible to download the content and add some news to your favorite lists in order to be able to read them while you're offline.

Old app used to be amazing. Fast loading, fast navigation and very user friendly. Guardian still has some of the best content of any online news source but this new app makes it hard to access such content. Fitting example: every time for whatever reason I switch to another app mid-article and then I go back on it, it takes me back to the home page and I have to go and look for the article I was r
The update/refresh problem seems to be fixed now. Fair play to the Guardian app developers for the quick fix. The app is now restored to 5* !
Below was first thoughts, but now downgraded to 1 star as I've simply stopped using what was my favourite snd what I thought was the perfect app. Probably still a good app. Hence 3 stars. Just as you're reading items in the list of articles, the screen will refresh and go back to the beginning. It means you have to constantly be re-finding the place you're at. It's behaviour that drives me crazy, so I'm uninstalling the app. I like The Guardian, so I will miss the annoying app.

I've been commenting on the website on my phone for 7 months now. Thought I would try the app. Looks nice but the comment system is ridiculous. Why do comments always open in two new windows and of you want to write a comment it opens in a further window so you can't refer back or quote the article you're commenting on. Also there is no place where you can view your previous comments, that's just
