Zite is a free personalized magazine that learns what you like and gets smarter every time you use it
Zite is a magazine that suits with you. It tracks your interests from your GReader account or Twitter profile. There's no need to create a Zite account (recommendable though), but you'll have to grant access to that accounts if you want to fully enjoy it. After tracking your accounts, Zite will show a list of topics that you can choose among. Mark the ones you're interested in and you'll get articles related to that topics from thousands of reliable sources. Bear in mind that it doesn't integrate your nor your GReader account subscriptions nor your Twitter timeline. You can select topics, not the sources.
However, Zite allows you to like/unlike articles. This info will be included in the algorithm to set your preferences. Thus, the more you read and like article, the most accurate it will become. All your topics will be displayed on a top bar. You can navigate through them just swiping left or right. Scroll down/up to check articles' list of each category. Tap on the one you're interested in, read it on an optimized reading-view, thumb up/down or share it. You can also read the article open your browser or change app font size.
The main catch of this kind of magazines is that you cannot choose the sources, just the topics. Thus, it's not a RSS-like reader. Although the algorithm works for us, it would be great to choose manually what we want to read.
No complaints regarding interface: good-looking layout, smoothly performance and ease of use. High recommendable.

Some lists where this application appears: Reviewed by Emmanuel Lund.
Hard to read through the stories when it constantly returns you to the top of the main screen.
While reading articles, the app freezes randomly and does not let me scroll or go back. The only option is to press the home button and launch the app again. Please fix!
The latest update allows me the abilty to "remove" articles after I've read them..or if I don't wish to read them...(just mark them with a "thumbs down") this keeps my Quicklist clutter free..!! awesome app!
I will rate you 5 * if you add an offline read feature
1. Doesn't have an option to save viewed pages. 2. Too many permissions totally non-related to what is the app made for. I mean, why do you need my Call log and Device ID? My Identity isn't enough? Do you want to know who do I sleep with?
Good to see an update after a very long hiatus. I use this app regularly and while useability has been a little flawed, the content harvesting and delivery has been great.
Thank you for updating Zite. Zite is still one of the most lightweight, and fastest news apps around. It offers great content and speed. Flipboard, your flagship product is still the BIGGEST, SLOWEST and bloated app. Zite has some of the most fantastic feeds for exercise, health and workout programs. Zite deserves to continue along side flipboard. Kill Zite and I remove flipboard. I am 90% Z
