Quality articles from a reputable news source, delivered in a neat package
AP is a highly respected news outlet, feeding many publications the world over. This app brings you all the latest as it happens, without a political agenda. The interface is lovely, but there aren't as many options as in other news apps.
There's a great amount of analysis here--so you get more than just the superficial details. You can easily select what interests you the most, and even contribute your own information if you're feeling particularly journalistic.
The interface is pretty but a little chaotic: text is often aligned to one side of the page to allow for images. There's frequently a delay when updating news articles--even on a fast internet connect. You can't change text size or background color, which will be a deal-breaker for some. It's also a shame that there's consistently a banner ad at the bottom, taking up valuable screen space.
AP Mobile. Where the news gets its news.
We had to make some additional performance enhancements for image loading and other fixes. This version should perform much better than v2.0.
- Loading time performance improvements
- Allow local news lookup by city name
- New audio alert for push notifications
- Bug fixes
The application is defective on a Droid Razr. It adds pictures ot the disk and when the phone reboots it adds them to the photo gallery as your pictures. If you remove them weekly it is at least a 1,000 or more pictures using up space.
loots of good stuff. previous home page much better. always crashes on Samsung SII
Not enough headlines, has "spring training" as a category and you can't get rid of it. We waste enough time on baseball, it really isn't top news.
Works great with my HTC. Good articles.
Much improved over previous versions though small bugs remain on the Nexus 6 when loading the story it sort of loads twice.
Comparable to USAtoday & MSN & bbc App
Updated app works (and looks) much better, without loading lag time like the previous version. "Things to Know for Today" article needs hyperlinks, then would rate 5 stars. Droid Turbo.
