Animated radar just flashes on/off. Waste of what could have been a good App.

I tried this on my Galaxy Nexus mainly for the animated radars (local & national). The local radar screen would blink each frame on & off...black ~50% of the time. The national radar was worse, it would also blink each frame, black most of the time ~70%.
