Old app used to be amazing. Fast loading, fast navigation and very user friendly. Guardian still has some of the best content of any online news source but this new app makes it hard to access such content. Fitting example: every time for whatever reason I switch to another app mid-article and then I go back on it, it takes me back to the home page and I have to go and look for the article I was r

The update/refresh problem seems to be fixed now. Fair play to the Guardian app developers for the quick fix. The app is now restored to 5* !

Below was first thoughts, but now downgraded to 1 star as I've simply stopped using what was my favourite snd what I thought was the perfect app. Probably still a good app. Hence 3 stars. But older version was a 5. Galaxy S3 experience much prettier, but less usable. Now have to scroll double and double column + primary stories spanning both confuses my eyes and makes me

Just as you're reading items in the list of articles, the screen will refresh and go back to the beginning. It means you have to constantly be re-finding the place you're at. It's behaviour that drives me crazy, so I'm uninstalling the app. I like The Guardian, so I will miss the annoying app.

I've been commenting on the website on my phone for 7 months now. Thought I would try the app. Looks nice but the comment system is ridiculous. Why do comments always open in two new windows and of you want to write a comment it opens in a further window so you can't refer back or quote the article you're commenting on. Also there is no place where you can view your previous comments, that's just

Recently got this app and I really like it. However, I signed up just so I could customise the topics but it doesn't work. Am I not getting this? I remove everything then add in what I want and it still shows the default list.

Offline is nice...maybe a little slow to dowload, but not too much of an issue.

    Great paper but app freezes

Several issues still: 1. Too much offline content downloading 2. Several errors while downloading content, a process which can take upwards of 15-20 minutes over Wi-Fi 3. Despite having downloaded content, "Content not available" error still appears too often when trying to access any of the sections while offline. 4. This one is really annoying: if there is a very bad Wi-Fi connection the app

But remains an app that's only really usable when one has a solid data connection. What's the point of downloading all the paper at 3am on my home broadband link, when all I get when I try to access the paper in the notspot that is the middle Marches is "content could not be loaded"? I know bloody well that I can't get a data connection for several miles in every direction! That's exactly why I do
