Although from Jelly Bean 4.2.2. users can add widgets to the built-in lockscreen, it is still lowly-configurable, or at least not as much as the one I'm reviewing here. What's more, HomeBase enables users currently running an older Android version on their devices modify the lockscreen their way.
Thus, HomeBase allows launching favorite apps straight from the lockscreen and gain access to most-used apps by long-pressing the unlock icon. In addition, widgets can also be added to the homescreen. This is really interesting, specially regarding News or Social apps' widgets (although more can be added). Makes easy to keep up-to-date, with fewer tabs.
Sharing your lockscreen is another interesting feature that HomeBase comes with. It allows to share a screenshot of your lockscreen via SMS, Email, Facebook or any other social platform. For that reason, it's important to make it look outstanding. You can create your own design: customize the background, change the unlock icon or even record your own unlock sound.
Battery consumption is OK but, it should be enhanced regarding performance. It doesn't feel as smooth as it should. Despite, a good app backed by a great concept.
