AfterFocus is a photography app that allows you to set a focus area and apply filters
We're pretty sure you've ever seen that photo effect in which one object is focused an the background is blurry. AfterFocus adds that functionality to your phone camera. You just need to take a picture and start editing it.
First off, AfterFocus asks you to choose between two method to select the focus area "Smart" or "Manual". The "Smart" mode is a semi-automatic mode: you just need to draw lines over objects and it will automatically select areas. However, it won't as accurately as you may think. For this reason, there are "undo" "eraser" and "black lines" correctors. Anyway, the smart mode works pretty good, and is the one I preferred. If you choose "manual" mode you'll have to draw the whole area you want to apply focus by dragging.
After editing focus, you can select blur degree, select the aperture shape, fading it BG, apply up to 14 filters. Once finished you can save the picture or share it by using any of the sharing resources installed in your mobile device. The app is set in a good-looking layout and it's really easy to use. Tutorial (including video) on how to edit focus, helps to get the hang of it. High recommendable.
Selecting a focus area more precisely, you can achieve more natural and professional image.
Just mark the areas you want, AfterFocus automatically recognizes the focus area precisely even for an object with complex shapes.
This auto function allows you to work faster on smart phones with small screen.
Also, background blur effect of AfterFocus gives a photo the realistic look between the edge of the background and the focus area.
With our realistic filter effects, you will enjoy photographing and photo editing even more, and share them on SNS easily.
1. Smart focus area selection
Simply draw some lines inside a focus area and the background, then AfterFocus will automatically recognize the focus area. You can also select the area with traditional finger painting.
2. Background Blur effect
You can create the most realistic blur effect with various aperture styles just like DSLR camera.
To emphasize that certain things move, Motion blur effect is also available.
3. Filter effect
AfterFocus offers from basic effects to professional effects like Cross Process without looking artificial.
Also, you can emphasize the spot light on the background using Bokeh effect.
4. Double photo
Take a picture of one object and move slightly to the right to take another picture of the same object, and it will analyze the images and recognize the nearest object, so there is no need to draw the focus area.
(Make sure that the background and the distance of the object are far enough and have clear texture to get a great result.)
5. Easy share
You can share through e-mails and SNS easily and simply.
1. Can save work-in-progress(project) and load it later
2. Adds vertical fading background
3. Minor bug fix

For anybody who loves to retouch the photo, easily blurring the background and leaving the subject in clear natural view. Perfect, easy!
This is the only photo editing app i ever use. It's pretty simple but the results are astounding. I do however have one caveat. I've been waiting for the option to save to external memory. Please consider implementing this option into an update. *Update* Save to external media is now possible. Awesome photo editor!
Cool effects, easily done. I would prefer a lot more effects in the box... Eg more than black and white or sepia background? May be in future releases.
Take two photos doesn't seem to work that well but the edge feathering and larger image save size make this pro version a worthwhile upgrade. Smart select is pretty good but never seems to get it right on the first try (usually needs several tweaks and hints while zoomed in to get good results). New vertical background blur is great for shots along walls, etc.
One of most used apps. Consistently good.
I've been using AfterFocus for quite a while now. It is one of my favorites. I can't say enough about it.
This is the most amazing "bokeh" or DSLR effect app on the market. I have many so many photos looks Profesional with it.
