CameraSim for Android Tablets is here!

Learn by doing: CameraSim shows you how to use your DLSR camera! (Please note: this is NOT a photo-taking's for learning how to use a DSLR camera.)

This is the enhanced version of my DSLR learning tool featured by Wired, USAToday, Engadget, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, PCWorld, and MacWorld that is rapidly approaching 1 million “stumbles” by the StumbleUpon community.

CameraSim visually explains the controls of a DLSR camera. Using a specially designed example image, CameraSim lets you experience the effects of various settings.

• Aperture/f-stop
• Shutter speed
• Lighting
• Focal length
• Parallax
• ‘Camera shake’ blur
• Tripod stabilization
• Subject motion blur
• Over- and under-exposure
• Exposure priority modes

• Experiment with wildly different settings and see how each affects the final “photo”
• Get instant feedback about your “photo:” see what you did right, or get advice on how your settings can be improved
• Observe the effects of preset example settings, or experiment with settings of your own

• Provides an interactive visual aid that demonstrates principles of photography to students

CameraSim is a fun and engaging way to demystify your DLSR camera!

This is a great concept. I loved it when I first bought it. But doesn't work on all my devices, like my s3. No updates, no new features, problems with it on nexus 7. I loved it, just wish the developer would do more with it. Shame

I had CameraSim installed for a couple months. It worked well as tutorial for a photog newbie. You'll get the hang of the standard camera functions and their output pretty quick. What I'm guessing was an auto updated new version on my tablet now produc

Couldn't get it to even open on my Nexus 7 & when I tried to install it on my HTC One X it said my phone wasn't compatible with this version.
