Sony World Photography Awards

This is Sony World Photography Awards photo book application.
The Sony World Photography Awards celebrates photography of all types from all photographers that share our passion with imagery.

In addition to celebrating the imagery taken by photographers the Sony World Photography Awards looks to exhibit and showcase photography around the world making it accessible for everyone to appreciate this art. This app provides you with some of the winning imagery of the 2011 Sony World Photography Awards for you to enjoy.

Widely recognised as the leading global photographic awards programme, the Sony World Photography Awards provides a platform for photographers of all ages and abilities to exhibit their work on an international level.
The Awards include competitions to suit photographers of all levels; the Open category, for amateur photographers and photography enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds, the Professional Award for serious photographers, and the Youth Award for photographers under 20. In addition the Moving Image Competition is for those who are experimenting with moving image narrative formats and the 3D competition is for those playing with new 3D imaging technology. The Student Focus competition is for higher education photography students between 16 and 25,. By entering the competition you can give your photographs worldwide exposure, whether photography, for you, is a career or just a hobby.
The comprehensive Awards programme is designed to provide exposure for professional photographers, a vehicle to discover the next generation of photographers, and also to promote and exhibit the artistic vision of the younger photographer.
The Sony World Photography Awards supports these photographers, across the many diverse fields of photography, by exhibiting their work around the world and providing photographers with unparalleled exposure to an international audience. Furthermore, shortlisted and winning photographers are published in the Sony World Photography Awards book, whilst winners also receive a Sony DSLR camera with the overall winner receiving $25,000, and the opportunity to attend the Gala ceremony in London, with flights and accommodation included.
