App2zip is in very early stage, does NOT work on some devices, so please first of all make a test to see if it works for you (e.g. backup an app you don't care much, uninstall it and restore back via CWM recovery). Use at your own risk!

App2zip allows to backup applications directly to a zip file flashable via CUSTOM recovery.
Building your own update.zip file is easy:
1) Choose the apps to be included in the zip file (you can pick system apps too)
2) Click GO! and wait until the zip is done. That's it!
Note: Restore via stock recovery is not supported yet.
Note: This app won't work without root access.

I used Titanium Backup to restore apps. But when I came across this app and after using this I was totally amazed. Saves time. I would recommend it to anyone who constantly flash ROMs. Great app. Worth more than 5 stars. Excellent app!!!

but it doesnt backup app data which is very important to me. also when i flash, all goes well until phone reboots, then my phone becomes unresponsive until i pull battery! why would it do that if this app only pushes apps to their folder? (galaxy note gt-

This one simply restores all apps after switching ROMs. Titanium's data restore often screws things up. Never failed on my HTC oneXL (Evita)
