Chameleon Launcher is a homescreen replacement which focus on widgets
Chameleon Launcher has been for quite a long time only available for Android tablets. That's mainly due to Chameleon its a widget-oriented launcher, so it needed (and still needs) large screens. Smartphones' displays are today large enough: most of them can be considered "phablets" (phone tablets). Anyway, I recommend to use it on 4-inch devices.
The idea backing Chameleon launcher is "everything accessible from the homescreen". Consequently, besides regular Android widgets, Chameleon provides a dozen of specific widgets of most used apps: Facebook, Gmail, G , Calendar, Feeds, Twitter, Weather, etc.
In addition, users can create their own widgets using Chameleon platform. Any app that supports widgets can get their Chameleon launcher to be placed on your homescreen. Obviously, regular widget can also be added as they were a Chameleon launcher (actually they are adapted to the Chameleon layout). Widgets are fully customizable: background, size, refresh interval, etc.
What's more, Chameleon launcher allows users to create multiple 'home', each one with its widgets and its screens. Different 'home' for different context. The app drawer is divided in three categories: apps, shortcuts and folders. Horizontal-scrolling and a guaranteed smooth response.
The only catch of Chameleon launcher is that isn't really comfy on lower than 4-inch display devices to place, see and manage widgets and, on the other hand, it won't run as smooth as desired on low/medium-end devices when overloading it with screens and widgets.
Regardless, Chameleon is really worth its price.
Chameleon Launcher is a Home Screen replacement. This version will run on both phones and tablet devices. It lets you create multiple home screens, each with your own layout of Widgets and Apps. The Chameleon app includes an innovative context based home screen system giving you the most relevant information you want - when you want it.
The Next Generation of Widgets.
Android widgets are not all created equally - and that's the problem - so we decided to raise the bar. The result is widgets that look beautiful together and are as easy to layout as drawing on a screen. Take a look at some of our other widgets or build your own with our custom API.

Very slow and few options. Rare updates. Almost a year since the last one at this time.
Still a great concept, and I want to love it. Even more, I want to use it. I just can't stick with it for more than a few minutes. Please fix the lag and add support for Nova/Apex/Go icon themes at the very least and this will finally be usable. The optio
This is a great launcher that just needs a user to stick with it and give it time to show its worth. For me, it's slick, user friendly and problem-free. I would say the only immediate improvement I would like to see is the ability to decide for myself wh
I remember seeing this app on Kickstarter, amd thought ig would be an interesting idea. It is an interesting app, but I don't find it quite as useful as I had hoped. However on a technical end the app is sound, it's pretty fast and doesn't have any crash
Works well on the 2014 edition of Note 10.1. I haven't noticed any slow down. I wish more widgets were available, but I do like what I got for 3.99. I wouldn't pay 10, but 4 is a good price for what you get. Based on other reviews, you probably want to us
I'm sorry I bought this app. I thought finally someone got the value of widgets but instead they created a boat with no rutter. When I tweeted them to see if the app was still being developed in June of 13 they said they met and discussed plans to update.
I paid full price for the app so I can use it on both my S4 and tablet Z. It appeared to be very nice at first but then it started to disappoint after 30 minutes of using. Pictures and other details are not clear on my tablet, the apps I put on the docks
