There are dozens of good calendar apps. However, most of them look similar and have same strengths and weakness. Intuitiveness, ease of use and some added-value features is the unresolved matter for most of them. However, DigiCal has gratefully surprised us in that regard.
DigiCal is a Calendar app perfectly sync with Google Calendar. Unlike other apps, it's focused on providing an user-friendly experience. The guys of Digibites have done a great job adapting it to Holo interface, which makes it easier to manage. Applying views is as easy as select (day, week, month) from a dropdown menu placed on the left-top corner. In addition, there's a really useful bring-me-to-now button for when you are navigating through previous or next weeks and months.
Scheduling new events is a matter of seconds. You can add title, event color, date & time, reminders with pop-up notifications, notes and privacy. In fact, you can add location and the app will use GPS and Google Now to get you directions to the place (which traffic status, notifications,...).
Widgets are the added-value feature of DigiCal. Up to 16 different sizes widgets, fully configurable (even transparent layout) that makes easier managing you events and appointments and see them at a glance. Highly recommended.

DigiCal + is the premium version of DigiCal, which is ad-free and offers more widget configuration options. It allows you to change the widget’s transparency level and the font size of the line items. There's also a month widget and a custom background color picker for the day, day list, grid and month widgets. We are planning to release more paid-only features in the near future.

Two features the monthly widget is missing: 1) The ability to scroll it. 2) An option to highlight the days with events in them, without showing the name of the events (otherwise the text of the event overlaps with the number and name of the day, which is

I have been looking for years for a good calendar app. I now use this one on a daily basis. Far far better than the others out there!

One of my must have apps.Love the widgets, great customization options concerning both looks and information displayed.

Works well. Nice and configurable. Get rid of the spinning wheels for time setting though - it's annoying.

Very well designed calendar app. Wish I could change text color in the widget. I want the widget to be white (to match the Google Now widget), but the text is white, so I have to use a translucent white Edit: text color selection now available. Great app.
