Scan from flatbed scanner directly to your Android device. InSaneScanner is a frontend for SANE - Scanner Access Now Easy (see: http://www.sane-project.org). Note: your scanner need not be wireless, but needs to be configured with SANE backend. Once scanned, the image can be e-mailed or seen in Android graphics viewer and saved. Support for most USB flatbed and all-in-one printer/scanners by HP, Canon, Epson, Brother etc. You can even scan over the Internet if your server is configured this way.

Recently changed in this version:
Fixed some crashes when wrong color mode selected.
You can test the new app against our server. In your configuration, set the server to "avmedia.org". You should see a test color pattern - only color mode is supported. (we may disable this service if the data traffic becomes too big). BTW, the our test SANE backend runs on Raspberry PI device.

Auto ''scanner or printer '' detector option would be great to add to settings to establish a connection, otherwise for novices its just gonna be a useless app

It would be nice to have a full sharing menu instead of just Bluetooth, Dropbox, and Google Drive.

I have tried this now on two different manufacturer tablets. Neither see my canon mp288. Both have android 4.0.3. I have emailed these people - no reply. Uninstalling.

Hope you can fix the "Problem with sane server bug" bug, also after the installation, the app logo became generic android logo as well as the scan default image was lost. Hoping for immediate update.
