With only a single button-click, record a voice note, have it converted to text and sent as an email or SMS. Great for safely capturing that important thought when driving, walking, etc. By converting speech to text, it avoids having to listen to audio recordings of notes later and then writing them down. (Although you can include the audio, if you wish.)

Unlike other apps that send emails semi-automatically, the email is sent completely in the background - no email app to select and no Send button to push. Just start talking and no more interaction with your phone.

Other features include:

* queueing of messages, recorded as audio only, when no network connection is available
* send audio recording instead of text, or send both
* append to a message already in progress
* attach a photo
* launcher shortcuts or widgets can be setup for each recipient
* recording can be set to automatically start when you open the app
* optional reading of your message back to you
* message confirmation dialog, so you can edit it or cancel it. If you do nothing, the dialog is automatically dismissed after 5 seconds and the message is sent.
* email subject can be set for customized usage with todo and note managers such as Evernote, Toodledo, Wunderlist, and Remember the Milk.
* post an event on your calendar by voice
* post items to the built-in todo list by voice
* a log of all messages is kept, including any attached audio recordings for later listening
* Bluetooth support (on some phones)

Although the app currently has English text for all the menus, etc., the Google speech recognition supports many different languages. The ATT speech recognition engine supports English and Spanish.

VoiceNote uses Google's or ATT's voice recognition service as well as Android's text-to-speech service (for prompting and reading your message back to you). These services require a data connection.

VoiceNote can be upgraded to provide eight recipient buttons and remove the ads. You will find the upgrade option on the app menu.

All of those permissions are required to support the features that VoiceNote provides to you.

No personal information is harvested or used in any way other than for its intended purpose (sending your email or SMS).

Glad I found it, because if not, I was going to have to create it! I can't count the number of times I've been on my morning commute and then received a call from a customer. Being unable to take notes while I'm driving, nor schedule a follow up or set a reminder to do something that I talked about with the customer, was leaving gaps in my deliverables. Now I can press an icon, record the

One-Touch Voice Note is a unique and powerful voice to text productivity tool. Use it as you would a voice recorder, then it sends automatically transcribed text messages as SMS, an email or to the built-in To-Do List. Create shortcuts for any contact. So fast, so easy and so efficient. The developer is very responsive and deserves a big Thumbs Up for this one!

First of all, its poor design when I have to read reviews to find instructions! The main reason I tried this app was due to the fact that the google feature "note to self" stopped attaching the audio. This is very helpful to me as occasionally the transcription is so bad I can't figure out my note. This app supports it, but as installed there is NO indication how you do it. You have to use th

It took me a minute to figure out how to create a shortcut from within the app to make a shortcut on my homepage... but now I can click the shortcut, the app automatically opens, I talk, it automatically sends an email with the text recognition and audio file. I have the confirmation sent to 0 seconds in the advanced settings, so it is truly one touch of the shortcut to do all this. This is so g

Primarily use this to send thoughts, ideas and to do items to Evernote. Easy to use. There when I need it.
