After trying it, we can state that's true. Instead of catching words from your Twitter, Facebook, SMS or other resources, like others, it takes them from your typing history, no matter the mean. This system is less efficient in the beginning while the engine is catching the range of words you use most. However, after a few days it becomes one of the most efficient keyboard. What's more, it predicts the word that comes next. Unlike other keyboards, TypeSmart shows 7-8 predictions at the same (more if you scroll the bar).
Besides the engine, you can easily add new words by yourself. Likewise, it allows to input symbols without switching the keyboard, just long-press regular letters. There are though other configurable shortcuts: for example, doble-space inputs a period and a space. That makes typing way faster.
TypeSmart Keyboard is fully integrated with Google's speech-to-text engine. Worry about language? Use Local Profiles to switch language & keyboard instantly. It would be great if it allowed multi-language at once (catch!). Despite of that it includes a built-in translator to over 50 languages (actually it's Google Translator-based).
Finally, if you're into customization mood, it includes up to 20 built-in themes. Worth to try.
