This is a collection of contemporary Russian prose of the author, most of the works published for the first time. "Letters to the sleeping brother" - a new novel by Andrei Desnitskii, extending the first published "Notes Balabola", a kind of diary demon-tempter in modern Russia (imitation of CS Lewis). Only this time, the same story is told through the eyes of the guardian angel, and the youngest of them. The collection also includes the story "Russian Amsterdam" that unfolds in the capital of the Netherlands in the early nineties, and ten stories about the lives of our contemporaries.
