The Vowel Stories Series began as a book series that included books, workbooks, and various educational materials. It is based on the latest literacy research and has been used in English language arts programs in school systems in the United States and Singapore. Vowel Stories has been proven to help children increase literacy, reading readiness, and phonemic awareness.

If you are just beginning to teach your child how to read we recommend that you start with our other app, ‘Vowel Stories Short.’ Current research states that beginning readers should always learn the short vowel sounds first. Once your child is comfortable with short vowel sounds you should transition to the app, ‘Vowel Stories Long.’
