Akela is your ultimate digital loyalty and gift card. Replace all those loyalty and gift cards cluttering up your wallet with a single virtual card that can be used at merchants that are part of the Akela loyalty program.

Using the app, find and join Akela merchants’ loyalty programs. View their locations on a map. Join a program when you make your first purchase or before. You will receive loyalty points for future redemption with that merchant.

Easily keep track of all the different merchants of whose Akela loyalty programs you are a member. Tap on the icon representing a merchant for which you are a member and then view your loyalty points for that merchant’s program(s). Check out any specials that the merchant might be offering by tapping on the “Specials” link when it’s displayed.

Purchase and send virtual gift cards for Akela vendors to recipients such as friends or family members, either immediately or on a set date, such as a birthday. Your recipient will receive the gift card by email. View your balances for virtual gift cards that you have received for use at your merchants.

You can use the app to update your personal information.

HOW TO USE IT

Once you have installed the app, log in to your personal Akela member account, or, if you don’t already have one, create it. Your Akela member id and its corresponding barcode and QR code are displayed directly on your screen. Your smartphone is instantly transformed into your universal loyalty e-card – valid at multiple retailers participating in the Akela program.

At any participating retailer, just present your phone to the cashier during checkout. The cashier will scan your on-screen barcode and add you as a member of the store’s loyalty program. That’s all it takes to get set up! Now every time you make a purchase at that store, you can collect and redeem loyalty points by simply having your on-screen barcode scanned during checkout.

For vendors that don’t use scanners, you also have a short alphanumeric id that the vendor can manually enter instead. Both your long and short ids are easily visible on the phone. If you don’t have your Akela member id with you, the vendor can look it up.

To view details of your loyalty point transactions, use the Akela Web member portal.
It’s time to rid yourself of those outdated plastic cards you can’t keep track of, and replace them with a convenient digital e-card that’s available directly through your smartphone. Make it easier to collect loyalty points and rewards from multiple retailers, while going green by reducing your plastic card count.

Loyalty programs on mobile devices are the best option now and tomorrow! I receive better CRM too! If only all establishments were part of Akela... One day!

Easy to install and pretty quick to set up my account. A lot of stores are getting on board now. I already started saving money with my loyalty points!

I tried about 50 passwords to register, all got the message "incorrect password format". There are no instructions for what the correct format is.
