HP CODESCAN turns your camera phone into an all-in-one bar code reader - one of the only apps that can scan QR Codes and UPC Codes found on products. Scan regular UPC/EAN barcodes from most products, like Computers, Printers, Ink, DVDs, books, and food to see reviews, accessories and nutritional information (US only).
Also scan any 2D barcode (QR Code, Datamatrix, EZcode) that you find in print, packaging, or business cards to launch specific websites, videos, or contact information. Want to share what you're scanning? Just go to the history menu, to quickly send the content to your Facebook Wall or email to a specific contact.

Users must upgrade to OS 4.0+ before installing HP Code Scanner.

It doesn't give a precise description of the computer scanned.

It has a speaker on/off but does not have a light on/off. Couldn't get it to scan my first code.

HP laptop told me to scan it's qr code to see specs.. I went to the play store. Downloaded. Then scanned....... And it told me a general description of said laptop... Completely wasted my time. Writing this review so it can help others.

Held it at the scan for ten minutes with light sources never even acknowledged that it was there. This is a piece of crap. Do not bother downloading or installing. HP doesn't know what they're doing, clearly. Absolutely USELESS.
