The speak and save app is fun to use because deals are offered at specific times during the day - about everyseven minutes or so. The details of each deal are described in a deal calendar so you can see what's coming up. When it comes time for the deal to begin, it is announced on your phone using one of nine computer generated voices ("mel", "clair", "mike" and more - they are cool). When you hear a deal that you might want, you can either tap your phone screen or simply say "I want that deal" and the app "hears" your voice using advanced speech recognition technology. If you get the deal, the speak and save app will then download the offer directly to your phone in the form of a deal coupon.
SpeakAndSave now features flash auctions, which add even more fun and excitement! Flash auctions are the fun way to bid against other users to get the very best price on stuff you use every day. Once an auction begins, those who have joined can bid on the item. As the bidding continues, you can see who is in the lead on the live leader board and bid whenever you want. Auctions typically last only a few minutes so they are fast and furious and someone always gets a great deal.
When you receive the deal coupon, you can purchase it using your PayPal account from within the app. Once purchased, a gift card for the merchandise is sent to you via postal mail or electronically delivered via email.
You are automatically notified of the best deals offered twenty minutes before the deal goes live (don't worry, you can opt-out of notifications if you want through a simple preference setting). Many deals are offered in a limited quantity so it pays to be ready to go when that deal is announced.

It's simple and fun to join a group of folks and bid on great stuff - like a $50 Amazon gift card starting at just $5.00 (90% savings) or a $100 Shell Gas card opening at just $10.00. New auctions open up every 7 minutes, typically take less than 5 minutes to finish, and someone always gets a great deal! You can choose to bid when the price is right for you, or watch the live leader board as others compete for the deal.

They used to have a lot more deals, and then slowly started taking them away. The new auctions are worthless.

New auction format is a bust... Have to buy points to enter, wait for enough people to enter, and the deals aren't as good as they were. Lame.
