Ding Dong is a social application that works as a street locator and lets you use the virtual doorbell to notify your friends to open the door.
Ding Dong combines social networks with actual social contacts, as it works by walking down the streets and getting to somebody's house, which will create a notification and the possibility to let your friend know you're there by using the doorbell and its unique sounds. How does Ding Dong detect the users? By checking out their Ding Dongs accounts (which makes it impossible if they don't have the app installed) and people who have their address to appear public in the address book (which is not really that common).
Astral Vision is the developer of Ding Dong, a curious application that could be successful if people installed it in their devices and were willing to share their personal addresses. Of course getting to that point is hard and if you don't have a lot of people ready to do that, the app kind of loses its charm.
