GEDCOM (GEnealogical Data COMmunication) files can be created by any desktop software. Send the file to your device via any method: bluetooth, ... etc. FamilyGTG then scans your phone for any GEDCOM files (with .ged extention) so they can be imported.
Currently, FamilyGTG is basically a GEDCOM files viewer (however it allows editing members information and photos). In upcoming versions, it would be allowed to add families from scratch and/or edit existing families so stay tuned.

Enhanced GEDCOM file import plus minor enhancements.
- New member 'Address' field is added.
- More GEDCOM file fields are supported (like: Christening, Blessing, Address, etc.) and better support for other fields.
- Need to add your family again to access the newly supported GEDCOM information. Go to 'Families' page, long-click on your family, and select 'Remove' option. Now, select 'Add Family' option to add your family again.

Simple but displays info nicely. Very easy and intuitive UI where you can click any name of parents, siblings, or children to navigate around quickly. I'm using it just as a viewer only but data is editable so great for research at family events. Works gr

Same comments as prior commenter plus does not correctly interpret adoptions as in the case of grandmother adopting grandchild. Doesn't show spouses.
