"Bookmarking for the real world"

Roamz is a location-based social network that help you discover and review venues, events and people around

We've seen lots of location-based social networks apps. Roamz developers can proudly say they've made something different. Actually, Roamz is a compilation of location/photo-based social networks. Let's zoom on it.

Once users launch Roamz, they can press on "show everything nearby" and it will use GPS and location features to find users status posted on different social networks using location check-ins: Instagram, Facebook, Foursquare. Although users don't need to sign up to start checking posts about venues and people around, they won't be able to upload their own pictures and reviews unless registering the platform (G+ and Facebook Connect are supported).

Registering gives you access to some interesting features: "Love" posts, share them, follow users, and be followed by them, set alerts when you're close to a place you want to visit after reading a good review from other user. Roamz allows users to discover what's happening around no matter what social network users are using to post. World's social discovery.

For starters the app uses foursquare and other social networking sites to find what's people nearby are saying about stuff. It is a great idea to try using people's tweets and stuff but the people post stuff about themselves.

Nice app, really a good find. I find it quite unsocial though - never been able to post a comment on discovered content and connect with the users who posted them. I miss many of the things I spotted on the iOS version.

Adult photo thrown right in front of my face the instance I opened the app. Apparently posted 2 months ago! So many things are wrong about that!
