First off, you need to register by creating a Tasterous account or by means of Facebook Connect. Once it's done, you will have full access to a social network quite similar to Mobli, Instagram, Foursquares and other photo-sharing/location social networks. At the homepage you will see a scrolling bar of photos made by other users at nearby restaurants. Most of these photos are dishes (at least most of them should be) from that restaurants. What's more, you can see below, the user who has uploaded it, as well as the name of the restaurant and the distance from your current location. You can follow (and be followed) these users. That will make see on your news feeds their check-ins and, photos and comments. You can also comment, take pictures, check-in, rate and flag dishes and restaurants. There's a full Facebook and Twitter integration for sharing your food discoveries in the social network.
It's set in user-friendly interface with a cool layout. You get the hang of it in the first launching. Tasterous is specially useful for discovering nice restaurant and dishes. It's the end of uncertainty. Go and order after reading a review of your friends and contacts.
Tasterous has been developed by PT BeaBeo. Although this is the only app they've launched so far, it's reaching great success thanks to a great app idea, practical UI and good-looking layout. High recommendable.
