There are lots of Twitter client, although each of them try to focus on one matter. Tweedle has found the balance between simplicity and customization. Thus, it's minimalistic regarding features (it comes with basic Twitter stuff) but with some interesting options to personalize layout.
Tweedle uses streams system to divide and navigate through Twitter sections. Three basic swipable streams (more cannot be added): timeline, mentions and messages. A direct "Compose" and search button. It also integrates "Push to update - release to refresh" timeline's updating system. Likewise, for performing basic stuff (reply, copy, RT or Favorite) you just need to long-press tweets from your timeline and select the action. From menu button you can access you profile and settings. And this is it, minimalistic regarding features. Consequently, this makes it light and fast too.
From settings though, you can deepen on layout customization. There are four theme presets (original, market, light and dark). However, once selected you can change color (background, header, scrollbar, etc.), set font size, base design, actionbar overlay, etc. You can even enable a night theme. Finally, you can set notifications at your whim (by categories), select media provider and enable SSL encryption.
We like simplicity. However, we're missing some features that we consider "basic" like Trends and the possibility to add more streams (other users' profile and hashtags). Despite of this, Tweedle runs smoothly and provides a good average user experience.
