AFWall+ is an improved version of DroidWall(front-end application for the powerful iptables Linux firewall). It allows you to restrict which applications are permitted to access your data networks (2G/3G and/or Wi-Fi and while in roaming).
Note: If DroidWall/Avast doesn't work on your device, AFWall+ also will not work.

Only problem I have is it seems to cause issues with Wi-Fi tethering. Other than that awesome

This firewall works well for me. Simple and effective. Don't forget to apply your changes. A lot of Android settings change just by ticking them, so the first time I used this, I just checked the boxes and hit the home key. You have to apply them first.

I love this app but 'applying rules..please wait' notif makes me bored. I leave it for a day and it still there. Already check the cm10.1 option in pref but still.

Galaxy Note 2. Used this to stop Time Warner Cable from throttling my YouTube and causing my performance to be below my minimum guaranteed bandwidth for a business account!!! 1080hd now, baby, with no pauses. Woohoo!!
