AirPush Detector tracks your installed app to find which is the responsible of status bar ads
Such a simple. We're pretty sure most of you have suffered those annoying status bar ads and you don't know where they come from or which app is the responsible of that cheek. AirPush Detector will help you with that.
It does nothing else but tracking your installed app (permissions) to find which apps is suspicious of being sending push notifications with ads to your status bar. Its currently detected framekeworks include: airpush, leadbolt, appenda and IAC.
Once the list is displayed, you can uninstall them easily (if you want) just by tapping them. It will bring you to the uninstall menu of that app.
What can I say? It does what it assets. Useful.
If your device is running Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" or higher, you don't need this app anymore! You can just press and hold on notifications and your device will tell you who is generating them.
Currently detected frameworks include:
- Moolah Media
THIS APP DOES NOT *BLOCK* THESE ADS. It only tells you which applications are causing them. You must uninstall the applications this app identifies to stop the ads.
THERE IS NO OFFICIAL PAID OR "PRO" VERSION OF THIS APP. If you find an app with a similar name, description, and screenshots, odds are strong they have simply taken the source code and republished it as their own without any significant changes.
If you experience crashes, using Android's "Report" feature is likely to get it fixed. Leaving comments without any useful information is not :)
This app is open source - see the development page for full source code.
* Added detection for new ad frameworks: SendDroid, AppBucks, Kuguo, and Applovin'
* Added a message for Android 4.1+ users explaining why they don't need this app
did not find culprit. SGS2 4.03
cant opt out. did what they said and got the success page yet I am still getting ads!
I love that this app tells you if you don't need it! That's pretty classy.
Actually, the best thing was that after it installed it told me that I didn't need the app at all because I could press and hold the notification to find out what app created it. I didn't know that, so this was truly helpful.
Only app that found the "Problem"... thanks!
