- Turning your phone over for snooze
- With more settings would be better
AlarmDroid is a typical alarm with a new and useful feature
AlarmDroid is an alarm clock app which is really easy to use. You just need to tap on the + icon to add a new alarm by writing the name, the type of alarm (countdown, time, date and time), snooze time, repeating settings, ring tones, speaking clock and so on. Ring tones can be radio stations, so you can wake up with the sound of your favorite morning program.
Besides the typical snooze system, AlarmDroid adds a special feature called flip'n'snooze, which allows you to turn the snooze mode on by turning over the phone, which can be really useful as often you don't really feel like opening your eyes for tapping on the right button.
Of course, as any similar application, AlarmDroid can be installed as a widget for your homescreen, so you can have access to it more directly and always visualize it. It was created by Fabian Lueghausen, creator of other useful tools for Android users. Good alarm, many settings and including a really useful new feature.
AlarmDroid is a feature-rich alarm clock application. It is created to give every Android-User the opportunity to wake up his(her) own way, not caring about whether he(she) is an early bird or a morning grouch.
AlarmDroid's special feature is the flip'n'snooze feature, which allows the user to turn the alarm clock back into snooze mode by turning over the phone. Further, it provides a speaking clock, which does not only announce the time but even the local weather conditions.
These and more features are waiting to be discovered by you! Even internet radio stations are supported as alarm tone.
(I recommend to install "Rings extended" additionally)

Unfortunately, it seems to be nearly impossible to develop an application like AlarmDroid which works on every available (and very different) Android device and version perfectly. So if there appear any bugs, please send me an email and I will find a solution for this problem! Thanks! :)
--- Please also support me ---
It costs a lot of time/money to develop and improve AlarmDroid. And to answer the tons of emails I get every day. Therefore, any support (particulary financial support) is very appriciated. More details at
* Volume issue fixed
* Issue with simultaneous alarms fixed
* Performance improved
* Translations updated
* Countdown alarm (alarm settings > alarm type > countdown)
* Shake algorithm
PLEASE CHECK your sensor sensitivity settings. By default, you have to shake *3x*!
[Menu > Preferences > Controls > Sensor sensitivity]
When setting the time in the time picker dialog, you can tap the numbers (hours, minutes) and the keypad will open as in the older versions.
I set my alarm for 220am and a back up at 230am. Alarm didn't go off until 330am causing me to be late for work. Haven't changed the time on the alarm in the year that I've used it. It wont go off any time in the 2am hour.
Alarm says it will go off at 2am. But won't go off 'till 3am. Very annoying. Made me late to work once.
Im having the same issues with the daylight savings time. I have to go to work at 4 had my alarm set for 245 and alarm goes off at 345. Didnt realize there was a text near the top that says alarm time. I emailed the dev 3 times now about this issue. Back
Since daylight savings day 3/9/14 it says alarm will go off at 3 but then u look at the alarms it says 2 .... but other than that great app
Love it because it's accurate and I can wake to my own music :-)
I I've been using this so for over a year now, and never had any problem. But after I switch to a nexus 5. I find that after about 5 snooze, the phone would overheat like crazy and I couldn't even then on the screen anymore, and the phone would turn off.
Thanks for waking me up perfectly for years now! Love how customizable it is, and the obstacles prevent me from falling right back asleep. Also, I once lost my phone camping. I found it because the alarm keeps going off until you turn it off or the phone
