Phidget Device Control On the Android Platform.
This demonstration app allows REMOTE interaction with the Phidgets 8/8/8 Interface kit from your Android device via a local (home wireless) or wide-area (free-wifi, GPRS, 3G, EDGE, HSDPA etc) network. In short this allows you to REMOTELY control the interface kit from ANY location where you have a wireless network connection.
Applications include (with appropriate hardware):
- Remotely switching of lights, heaters, pumps, valves and much more
- Remotely sensing temperature, voltage, position sensing and much more
Please note the following:
-You need additional Phidgets hardware (www.phidgets.com)for this app to be any use.
- Your Phidget devices MUST be available through the WebPhidget service. (USB support not currently available in Android)
-BETA release. Use at your own risk!
-Tested on HTC Desire Z. If you download onto another device I'd appreciate your feedback on problems you have but please note the known issues below.

Recently changed in this version:
** FIXED: Crashes in Landscape
** Orientation temporarily restricted to Portrait - Next release will focus on better layout for tablets/bigger screens
** Improved sensor gauges
** KNOWN ISSUE: Connection problems to WebPhidget server; Occasionally controls activated but no devices show attached.

The user interface is a little clunky. Sometimes it won't connect and I need to close the app before it will connect again, but it's so rare that it's not even worth a bug report. This app is amazing and I use it almost every day!
