AT&T customers worried about misplacing their Android device can get peace of mind with Mobile Locate. This phone locator and data protection app allows you to quickly find a lost or misplaced device, and to backup your photos, videos and contacts. If your device is unrecoverable you can restore your priceless content to a replacement device, even if it’s not an Android device.

How does it work?
Logon to http://www.att.com/mpp or http://mystolendevice.com from any browser, anywhere to access to the following capabilities:

Free features:
- LOCK your device to protect its contents from unauthorized users while it is being retrieved.
- FACTORY ERASE a lost device to keep your data secure.
- Android customers who are OS version 2.2 or higher are eligible for the free version.

Paid features:
- LOCATE provides a GPS based location to retrieve your device
- ALARM sounds an audible alarm if you misplace a device nearby – even if it is set to vibrate or silent mode.
- LOCK your device to protect its contents from unauthorized users while it is being retrieved.
- BACKUP and RESTORE your personal contacts, photos and videos.
- ERASE a lost device to keep your contacts, photos and videos secure.
- FACTORY ERASEa lost device to keep your data secure.

Who’s eligible for the Paid features?
Mobile Locate is a free feature of AT&T Mobile Protection Pack. Not enrolled in the Mobile Protection Pack? Visit your local AT&T store for further details or enroll through this app.

    Hve nvr had an issue. Works great at backing up, although the website for this is difficult to maneuver when deleting some videos or pics from the backup.

    Not sure if this is linked to my family plan or something but it does not let me change my password. It prompts me for my birthplace and tells me I entered the incorrect city, I don't think that is something I would have mis-entered...
