A simple yet useful barometric altimeter that actually works. Meant only for devices such as the Galaxy Nexus that have a built in barometer or pressure sensor. Computes your altitude from barometric pressure using the standard atmosphere model. Can be easily calibrated with a known altitude. Calibrate as the weather and your location changes for best results. Displays altitude above sea level in feet or meters and barometric pressure in millibars. Uses barometer only, does not use GPS or other location services.

It works, but every time you set a known altitude for calibration, it subtracts a few from the figure you enter. Enter 200 ft, and it saves it as 199.

Great app iff you have a barometric sensor. Simple, uncluttered and ad free.

I'm curious about why such a simple app getting those low score. Taking a look at those comment I'm surprise to see lots of people install and complain while dev have clearly state that you need a barometer equipped device.

It would be nice to be able to change the pressure unit. But it will suit my purposes. I will be using this for doing labs in my chem and physics classes. The kids will just have to run an additional conversion.
