Works as advertised, needs to read web history for some reason. That's new. So I haven't upgraded. Shouldn't need that. Be careful.

It does turn the camera sound off, but disabled recording of video. When I turn sound back on the video records works. A little hassle but at least I can take pictures with no sound. Running ctmod 3.80 h26 oc (bloodawns)

Running rooted 4.1.2 on E4GT. Happy to report the very loud shutter noise is gone. I hope you will be able to upgrade this to have a beep toggle as well someday, but in the mean time the beep noise is much quieter and less annoying so thanks!

The Samsung camera has 2 sounds, the focus sound, then the shutter sound. This silences only the shutter sound. :(
