Take the Red Pill and find out if your phone is vulnerable to Carrier IQ!

If your phone carrier had the ability to record everything you did on your phone would you want to know about it?

Carrier IQ is a piece of software that has been pre-installed on many Android, iOS and Blackberry devices by the major mobile phone companies without your consent. It is a potential serious threat to your privacy and security.

Take the Red Pill. Then take action!

This app will conduct over 35 non-invasive tests to detect whether the notorious CarrierIQ spyware is installed on your phone. It checks all know vectors for CIQ including system drivers, installed services, and debug logs.

CIQ Red Pill organizes all of the collected evidence into test categories and shows you exactly what tests were run, which ones passed and what parts of CarrierIQ are where in your system.

This app is advertising supported(*) but requires very few permissions to operate:
READ_LOGS - needed to scan debug log for CIQ

COARSE_LOCATION - these are used in support of ad delivery but may be bypassed by turning off network connections before running the app.

* 25%+ of any advertising revenue will be donated to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
