CPU Spy is a simple app that allows you to monitor your CPU usage
This is just an app for monitoring, you can't modify nor your CPU frequency either any other parameter. You can check how much time CPU spends in each frequency state. Your CPU isn't always at highest performance: its frequency varies depending on the process you're executing. For example, you're in lower CPU frequency when airplane mode than over WiFi. You're in the lowest CPU frequency levels when, what's more, display is off.
CPU Spy shows 6 states: 1000Mhz, 800Mhz, 400Mhz, 200Mhz, 100Mhz and deep sleep. What's more it sows how many time you spend in each frequency and how much it represents out of the total. It also shows total state time and kernel info. You can reset/restore timers anytime.
In summary, an useful tool to keep track of what's going on your device's heart. Recommendable.
It also displays the current kernel information.

-Display total state time
-Massive code cleanup
-Fix duration overflow bug
-Removed read-as-root attempt when unable to access states file due to instability
-Better tablet support (still work to do, though)
