If you enable device administrator permission then this application cannot be uninstalled in the usual way. You have to disable this permission before uninstall.

Go to your phone's settings... Go to security... Go to system administrators... De-select / disable this app... Now Uninstall normally.. Or select "open" from here in playstore.. Disable & Uninstall are at the bottom! Great add on for rooted use

even though i have uninstalled elixir, this did what was advertised, and i was able to uninstall following directions from developer

complaining here about inability uninstall it. Mental impairment perhaps? Excellent app.
