Every year, thousands of children go missing. The FBI’s Child ID App can help.

This free app provides a convenient place to electronically store photos and vital information about your children so that it’s literally right at hand if you need it. You can show the pictures and provide physical identifiers such as height and weight to security or police officers on the spot. Using a special tab on the app, you can also quickly and easily e-mail the information to authorities with a few clicks.

The app includes tips on keeping children safe as well as specific guidance on what to do in those first few crucial hours after a child goes missing. Links to additional resources for families and victims are provided as well.

Please be assured that no information on your child will be collected or stored by the FBI unless you provide it during an emergency.

Entering the D.O.B is so hard cause u have to scroll the month and year and day and can barely see the dates. Also you can't fit all info in the fields to explain example where and what birthmark looks like. Can't write much in comments either. Was trying to explain my child is autistic and how that affects him etc. Maybe should have options to have to take pics of birthmarks, eyes etc for more ac

Unable to change year or see state or date or calendar due to color. Note says fixed, no it's not. Also no way to add fingerprints or tips about DNA swabs.

As other reviewers noted, it is difficult to read & enter birth date information. In order to enter the birth year, you need to scroll the birth month column backwards- as the month changes from Jan to Dec, the year will change with it. It took a while to figure this out though, because the whole section was so difficult to see. Other than the readability issues, this is a solid app.

The basic form of the app is good, but the date of birth section does not work, which is one of the most important pieces of information. You cannot see the numbers to change them and get the right date.

It will not let you upload a picture or even take a photo. It also won't let you change the year for the birthday. So I uninstalled it because it doesn't work.
