Flashlight is a very simple, and virtually no-permission application.
Why did I make it?
I needed a flashlight, and I installed a couple, but they needed all weird permissions, like Internet for advertising, or strange data access requirements.
Why does it cost 50p?
I concentrate on bringing applications to the market that only make use of the exact permissions needed for the application to perform its task.
Paying the 50p helps me spend my time on building better applications that don't use abnormal permissions.
What permissions does it need?
This application needs one permission (android.permission.CAMERA). It needs this to have control of the camera flash.
To be honest, I've had enough of these rogue applications asking for strange and un-necessary permissions. This application is very straight forward. Your flash is either on or off.
Please send me an email, I'd love to hear from you with any tips or suggestions on how to make this better. What I won't do is add functionality that adds further permissions to the application.
