Set the alarm clock and let the light wake you up
Glimma is an alarm clock for Android that works in a different way from other alarms. 30 minutes before the set hour, the screen turns off and progressively it increases the brightness so you wake up calmly.
If that's not enough for you, you can play bird sounds and if even then you haven't woken up after one minute, the app will play a strong sound that will definitely wake you up. It's kind of a good idea, isn't it?
You can set up the alarm in the Alarm settings and program it for all the days you want. In addition, it's possible to activate the night clock (with the phone charging) and the sleep mode so you can sleep tight. If you tap on Settings you will be able to change the orientation, color, sound, mail notifications and many other things (some of which will be unlocked unless you pay).
Vuxia is the developer of this useful tool for waking up in the morning in a better mood, not so abruptly. If you were looking for this, you will probably thank the developer for his bright idea.
--- /!\ All the features of this software are usable, but an in app purchase allows you to customize everything ! (From only 1€) ---
In the middle of the process it can play birds sound, and if you didn’t wake up 1 minute after alarm time, it plays a strong sound to be sure you don’t miss. It also let the phone check the emails by turning the notification sound off and the wifi on. So when you wake up, you don’t have to wait to know what’s new :)
If you sleep in a dark room it really wakes you up with the light, and if the phone point at you, your wife doesn’t wake up !
One more thing: This software is able to turn your phone in a "night mode" the evening, and turn back in day mode the morning. And so it shuts down the notification sound, the wifi...
This app is free for standard use, with the best settings. If you want to customize it, please make me a small donation (you choose!) and everything will be unlocked.
***FOR ANY BUG, PLEASE SEND ME A "BUG REPORT" (menu/bug report). THANK YOU !!***
For those who care, here is the explanation of the authorizations:

No good for tablets does not wake up from sleep mode doesn't work
Originally I wrote that this is the only one of the free soft alarms I've tried that works as promised. Then I reinstalled it and the pre alarm wake-up sounds don't work. Still a decent app, just not great.
When an alarm doesn't work multiple time that is ridiculous. It only has to do one thing, how hard can it be? Thanks for making me look unprofessional and disorganized.
App worked brilliantly until my phone died and I had reinstall the app. It hasnt worked since. Turns itself off in the night and doesnt go through the wake up. Its all but useless now :(
Every feature I clicked said it required the pro version. I've seen so many broken alarms for Android that I want to see it work on my phone before I buy. What about a full featured 7 day trial?
I just wanted to try the wake up light feature, but it requires an in app purchase before you can access it. So I uninstalled the app. It'd be nice if I could try the feature before buying it.
This is so close to what I was looking for - a fake sunrise for getting up on dark winter mornings - except the light flashes. The clock and display is really nicely designed, but I don't want to wake up to a strobe light.
