Characters restrictions are now more important than ever due to microblogging social networks like Twitter. We don't just want to share links of what we read but also comment them. This means that, the less characters spent on links, the longer our comments will be.
There are lots of URL shorteners, even Twitter has a built-in one. However, you can take advantage of your Google account to track all the links your shorten, no matter if you do it from the desktop browser or from this app. Goo.gl shortener app is as easy as paste the URL you want to shorten in the text box and tap on "Generate URL".
Once done, you can share URL, share QR generated by that URL or copy and paste it wherever you need. You can link your Google account and view URL stats. That easy, that useful.
This application utilizes goo.gl for in App URL shortening and allows you to share the resulting link via any share App on your phone, such as facebook or twitter.
You can link your Google account to the App so that generated URL's are added to your link listings at http://goo.gl for tracking. This is optional, by default generic goo.gl links are generated that are not attached to a specific Google account.
You can pass Links/URL's from other applications into this app, shorten them and share them through other apps e.g. facebook, twitter etc.
If your Google account is linked you can view previously created goo.gl links and the click stats of those links. You can also click any previously created link and share it from the stats page.
The app also generates a QRcode of the resulting shortened URL and allows you to share this also through email, facebook or any other sharing app as well.

There are not many apps that do this and this app does it well, automatic copying to clipboard would be extremely useful. Love the integration with my Google account to keep track and statistics but the UI seems a bit dated. This feels like a donut app LO
